When Marius began playing chess, we were unfamiliar with the chess environment and community in the Philippines. However, as he participated in more tournaments, our network gradually expanded. He made new friends, gained supporters, and connected with coaches and generous individuals who willingly shared their knowledge and resources. By God’s grace, Marius was eventually introduced to his major sponsor and personal coach.

Despite this growing network, finding sparring partners or playmates in our area remains a challenge. We often have to travel to other locations just so Marius can practice. Recognizing that many chess players face similar difficulties, we decided to compile a list of potential chess partners, along with their approximate locations. Each player on this list has given their consent to be featured, and those interested may contact them directly.
